MVC, Vehicle in the water

The Hockessin Fire Company, New Castle County Dive Team and Marine Units from Goodwill and Newport were alerted to a Motor Vehicle Collision with a vehicle in the water subject trapped. Engine 193 responded from an event down the road and upon arrival found that a vehicle had gone off the road into a stream. No one was trapped and just needed assistance walking up out of the brush. The Driver of the vehicle had no injuries.

The Hockessin Fire Company was alerted to a Motor Vehicle Collision with a vehicle on fire on Pleasant Hill Road. Ambulance and Engine 195 responded to the call and upon arrival found the car against a concrete culvert fully involved. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and checked the driver for injuries. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Christiana Hospital for a further check up.

Hockessin Fire Company will have a fundraiser at the Woodside Farm Creamery at 1310 Little Baltimore Road on Saturday August 14, 2010. There will be Fire trucks too see a Fire Prevention stand where you can learn about fire prevention, get a chance to squirt a real fire hose and talk to the firefighters who protect the community, then for the main event there's Cow Pie Bingo. So bring your family and friends come out and enjoy the fun and activities wile enjoying Woodsides Great Ice Cream.

Assist Chester County Longwood on working house fire

Station 19 was alerted at 04:00 for the Tanker to assist Longwood on a house fire. Duty Crew 8 responded with the Tanker, shortly after Chester County advised Fire board to dispatch Station 19 for full company response on a working residential fire. Tanker 19 arrived with orders to set up a draft in the pond in front of the residence and supply water to the scene. Engine 193 and Tower 19 Crew’s assisted Longwood and a number of other PA Fire Companies with fire suppression.
